1. The total energy consumption of cement industry covered under Perform, Achieve & Trade Scheme (PAT) scheme is 23.246 mToe* against approximate value of 35.76 mToe of entire cement industry.
2. The PAT scheme has achieved energy savings of 1.48 mToE in PAT Cycle-1 in Cement sector which is 81.5% excess of the given target savings through implementation of various energy conservation measures by cement industry. The scheme provides target energy savings of 1.22 mToE in PAT Cycle-2 to PAT Cycle-4 in Cement sector.
3. Indian cement industry is nearly best amongst other cement plants in the world in terms of Electrical and Thermal Energy Consumption.
